Privacy policy

This policy covers https://pradyotprakash.com and the app pradyotprakash.com meet, operated by Pradyot Prakash. Questions, access requests, and deletion requests go to hello@pradyotprakash.com.

Google user data the app accesses

pradyotprakash.com meet is authorized on my Google account only. It does not ask visitors to sign in with Google, and it does not read a visitor’s Google account. From my account it accesses:

  • The timezone setting (calendar.settings.readonly), so working hours follow the timezone set on my Google Calendar.
  • Free/busy intervals (calendar.events.freebusy) on the calendars I list. Each interval is a start time and an end time. The app does not read event titles, descriptions, locations, guests, or attachments.
  • Permission to create an event I own (calendar.events.owned) when a visitor books a time. The event stores the visitor’s name, email address, and optional note, and Google sends that person a calendar invitation.

How that data is used

Free/busy intervals and the timezone are used to show open meeting times and to reject a slot that was just taken. The created event is the meeting. I use the name, email, and note to know who is coming and what they wanted to talk about.

Google user data is not sold. It is not used for advertising, retargeting, credit, lending, or building a database for those purposes. It is not used to develop, improve, or train generalized or non-personalized AI or machine-learning models. The app does not use Google Workspace APIs for that.

Use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Who it is shared with

I do not transfer or disclose Google user data to third parties except to provide the booking the visitor asked for. The event is stored in my Google Calendar. Google sends the invitation to the email address the visitor submitted. I do not share this data with advertisers, data brokers, or information resellers.

What visitors submit

The booking form collects a name (2–80 characters), an email address, and an optional note (up to 1,000 characters). Those fields are the event title, the guest on the invitation, and the event description. The public pages of the site do not ask you to create an account.

Vercel Analytics and Speed Insights record a page view on the public site: the path, a coarse location, and the device type. They do not record your name or email. I use that to see which pages are read. If you email hello@pradyotprakash.com, I keep the message so I can reply.

How it is protected

Pages are served over HTTPS. The Google refresh token and calendar IDs are stored as server environment variables. They are not sent to the browser and are not prefixed for client-side use. The booking page checks free/busy again at the moment of booking so two people cannot take the same slot.

How long it is kept

Free/busy results and the timezone are used to answer the request that loaded the page. They are not written to a separate database. The calendar event remains on my calendar until I delete it or you ask me to. Email I receive is kept so I can reply and then as long as I still need that thread.

To ask for a booking or an email to be deleted, write to hello@pradyotprakash.com. I will delete the calendar event, or the email, unless I have to keep it to comply with law.

Terms

pradyotprakash.com meet is invite-only. A booking is a calendar invitation, not a paid service. I may decline, reschedule, or cancel a meeting. The invite link stops working when I remove its token.
